About Debbie
My Background
I started out as a teacher straight out of university and quickly found a passion for supporting some of the most vulnerable learners within my class. In more recent years, I have focused on supporting children’s wellbeing in schools. Throughout my time as the school’s wellbeing lead, I have gained a wealth of experience of working with children with various SEND needs as well as trauma and attachment needs.
I graduated University of South Wales with a MSc in Play Therapy. Through this degree, I have received expert training on trauma, attachment theory, child development and supporting family systems. I am a registered member of the British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT).
