About Nest Play Therapy
Nest Play Therapy offers 1 to 1 child centered play therapy for children aged 3-12. It is run by Debbie Moore, a trained play therapist. Nest Play Therapy accepts referrals from private clients such as parents and carers as well as from other schools.
Nest Play Therapy is located within Staverton CofE Primary School. There is a dedicated playroom space inside, set up away from the main classrooms.
Play Therapy is an alternative to counselling. It can support children who have experienced difficult life events or are experiencing difficult emotions.
Inside the playroom there is a variety of creative and play media for the children to play in a variety of ways such as:
- Sand tray and figurines
- Role play toys
- Puppets
- Dolls house
- Play kitchen
- Art and craft materials
- Building materials
- Sensory materials
- Soft play shapes, wobble board and spinning stools
